Review: Moogoo Udder Cream

MooGoo Udder Cream 120ml RM 39.90

Last 2 months ago, I went on a mini MooGoo haul as I heard many postive reviews on this brand. I really liked it that they are an all natural brand and many people with skin conditions like ezcema or with sensitive skin, benefitted from their product. One day, when I visited my favourite pharmacy searching for a replacement for my hand cream, they had a promotion for MooGoo Udder Cream that sells for RM 29.90. Any quick thinking shopper who is eyeing on this product ( like me ) would be silly to pass this off, right?

How MooGoo was Born?
MooGoo was first made when the founder adapted a cream used in dairy farms to help a family member with a skin problem in Queensland, Australia. The dairy version of "udder cream" was designed to heal the cow's udders and keep them in good condition for milking. It was full of skin repair ingredients and no gimmicks. Cows don't care too much about the latest fad in skin care, or even "Organic blends of Horsetail and Bergamot..." They do need healthy skin on their most valuable assets.

Although the original cream used in the dairy farms was legendary for its skin healing properties, it was thick and greasy. MooGoo modified the cream for human use by keeping all the skin healing properties but making it non-greasy.

Friends and neighbours started using the creams. It is amazing just how many people came out of the woodwork that had either very sensitive skin, or some sort of problem for which "nothing works". Since then, many other products have been added for people with sensitive skin and scalps and MooGoo was born.

Product Description
Our original udder cream that started it all. The Skin Milk Udder Cream is the lightest of our creams. It easily penetrates the skin with healing ingredients and is non-greasy. It is packaged in a 120ml flexible tube.

Recently, according to My Daily News Australia, MooGoo's udder cream is being recommended by oncologists and hospitals due to its ability to aid the recovery and ease the side-effects of chemotherapy and radio- therapy. The dairy experts are also avid environmentalists, with MooGoo creams made in Australia in carbon neutral facilities with all promotional material and cardboard packaging being made from recycled paper.

My Experience
The cream is quite thick in texture and to me, it smells like vanilla ice cream, almost the same smell from L'occitane Almond range. Some may say it smells like milk but actually, the sweet scent come from the sweet almond oil.

Though I had this cream for almost 2 months, I think I have used it not more than 10 times? I use this cream mostly as my hand cream and my hubby use this as a general moisturizer for arms and legs. He don't use it often though, only when he encounter slight itching on his arms.

In my previous post, I mentioned that I always have dry hands and experienced peeling frequently. So bad that sometimes it bleds. So far the best moisturizing cream for my hands comes from Dermalogica. Have I found a good replacement for my hand cream? Unfortunately, I find that this cream is not as moisturizing enough for my dry hands. Though it do keep it moisturized for a few minutes after application,  I do feel that my hands begin to 'tighten' again in less than an hour. For me, it also didn't heal the peeling area at my fingers. I have to apply my faithful Savlon Antiseptic Cream on those affected areas and then followed by this cream.

Overall
I won't be giving any rating for this product as I am uncertain if I have given a fair amount of time for this cream to perform. If I would use it daily, probably it will. I like the moisturizing effects upon application but I don't like it that it has the tightening effects on my hands. Probably, since this cream is the lightest of their cream, mabe their full cream will be more suitable for me.

This item was purchased by me for my personal purposes. This review is based on my honest and personal experience with this product and is not influenced by any parties.
