I believe many of us is still questioning the use of suncreen as part of our staple skincare product apart from the normal toner and moisturiser. What is the use anyway, you would ask? Is it beneficial to me? This topic sparked my interest to know more about it, considering that many of my friends and loved ones do not wear suncreen as part of their essential skincare regime. I found a very good site that have the simplified version on the importance of wearing suncreen. Let's find out more on what they have to say.Thursday, 30 June 2011

Review: Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil
Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil 20ml RM 66.00
Recently, I have been fascinated by oils, be it essential oils or carrier oils, ever since I had my MVO Anti Aging Oil. When I got hold of my MVO Oil, I start to do a research on the web to have a better understanding of how each properties of the oil can benefit your skin. I can tell you that I am simply amazed. Among the oils, one really stand out for me is Rosehip Oils. The benefits certainly stood out from the rest and seemed suitable to what I am looking for. To me, it's like an all-rounder oil, which is skin regeneration oil.

Review: Moogoo Lip Balm ( Edible )
Moogoo Lip Balm ( Edible ) 5g RM14.90
How many of us have come across lip balms that are edible? Any hands up? Well, for me, it's the first! In my lifetime, I don't own a lot of lipbalms. My first was the classic Vasaline, then comes the much raved Kiehl's Lip Balm #1 and this is my third one. I am pretty lazy when it comes to applying lip balms because mainly, I dislike the 'petroleum' wax that coats my lips after use and secondly, I would always have the tendency to forget that I actually own one lip balm! So lip balms are not the 'must have' item on my list. The reason I bought this was that I have been having some rashes on my lips and I have no idea what was the cause until now. Easy way out...blame it on hormonal changes???? Anyway, find out more if this lippy helped in my rashes.

Review: Marie Veronique Organics Eye Serum and Exfoliating Cleanser Samples
When my Marie Veronique arrived, I was pleased that they included a few of their samples for me to try. They are:
- Exfoliating Cleanser ( apprx. 15ml )
- Eye Serum ( 10ml )
- Moisture Serum ( 10ml )
- Skin Lightening Vitamin C Supplement ( 2 capsules in a 10ml glass vial )
Today, I am going to give a review for both the Exfoliating Cleanser and the Eye Serum. Generally, the products that I have ordered from MVO is working out very well for me and I've seen remarkable changes in my skin overall. I have no regrets at all for purchasing these items, though they fall under the 'mid high priced' segment. So, does this two samples worked as good as the rest?

Thankfully now...as I am writing this post..I can safely say that this IFO ( Itchy, Flaky and Oily ) syndrome is under control. Whew! Even though this problem is kept at bay, I was curious to know how it started and what are the contributing factors that leads to my IFO syndrome. And you wanna know what helped me?

Review: Esmeria Prickly Pear Protective Shower Gel
( On the left ) Esmeria Prickly Pear Protective Shower Gel 250ml RM 29
I came to know about Esmeria Organics sometime in March and I was very eager to try their products. I was contemplating to buy their skincare range but since they were relatively new in the market, I decided to wait for more reviews before I make the decision. So I settled for their body care instead. So far, I have tried their shampoo, and shower gel from their baby and kids range, Buds. So, did it went well for me?

Review: Marie Veronique Organics Skin Lightening Serum
Marie Veronique Organics Skin Lightening Serum 30ml USD 140
Pigmentations are usually very common among many fair skinned girls and recently, we have seen many new launches of whitening products by big brands, addressing these problems. I am plagued with this problem as well but I usually shy away from using whitening products as I have heard many testimonials on the side effects. However, my pigmentation on my cheek area is really bugging me and I have decided to approach this issue using natural based products. I am glad that MVO do offer products that adresses this issue and I have decided to take a plunge in trying out one of them, which is their Skin Lightening Serum. Continue to read on to see if this is a yay or nay for me.

Benefits of Hyaluronic Acid
( Picture taken from stay-confident.com )
My skin is more skewed towards combination/dehyrdated and moisturisers just doesn't cut out for me. At my current skincare regime, oils are my current effective moisturisers now and I am incorporating products containing hyaluronic acid to increase skin hydration. Honestly, before I would venture into using new products, I would usually do a background check to understand certain ingredients and benefits. Here is a quick background of Hyaluronic Acid.

Review: Marie Veronique Organics Moisturizing Face Screen SPF 30
Marie Veronique Organics Moisturizing Face Screen SPF 30 60ml USD 40
Wearing any form of facescreen has never been an important part of my daily skincare regime. I have always thought that cleanser, toner and a good moisturiser is enough to maintain my skin. Things changed when I discovered that my pigmentation increased on my cheeks and worst still, it grew darker and some bigger. I started wearing facescreen three years ago and yes, it did offered some protection but my pigmentation didn't get any lighter. Recently, I discovered Skin Deep ( a cosmetic database ) and came to know that my facescreen contains Oxybenzone, which is a hazardous ingredient, according to EWG standards. From there, I came across Marie Veronique Organics Facescreen, which is one of the safest in the world. Just recently, EWG released its 2011 Suncreen Guide and this facecreen is listed as one of the top 25 safest suncreens available in the market. So did this facescreen worked for me?

Review: Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster
Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster 30 ml ( Price Unavailable )
I was an avid Dermalogica user for many years until I decided to make a new haul in my skincare products recently when I encountered some problems with my skin . What was frustrating to me is that I've used most of their recommended range and my skin hasn't improved...yet. Probably, the SA's has been recommending me the wrong products all along *gasp*. Well, among the products which I have used, some are good keepers for me, for example the Skin Hydrating Masque and this booster which I am going to talk about.
