Review: Eucerin pH5 Washlotion Sensitive Skin

Eucerin pH5 Washlotion Sensitive Skin 1000ml RM 58.80
( Promotion Free 200ml Washlotion )

Once a while, I like using drugstore products...provided that it does not contain any harmful ingredients. It's not that I am 'off' from organic products completely...but truth to be told, organic products does not come cheap in Malaysia. My wallet has already taken it's toll and honestly, many products found in drugstores are really value for $$$$. And this is where I discovered this baby.

Many drugstore shoppers can easily identify well known products like Cetaphil or Ego QV, targeted specially for sensitive skin. When I was reading the ingredients, EGO QV and Eucerin seems to contain more friendly ingredients. So I was torn to two but eventually decided with Eucerin because it is much cheaper!

My Experience

I bought this wash initially for my mom, who is prone to very dry, scaly and irritable skin. The next few days, she was raving about this and said that it had made her skin more hydrated and seemed to calm her irritated skin. I reckon that my mom have been using washes that contain some harsh detergents, that made her skin feel irritated and itchy.

Eventually, I was sold by her 'reviews' and bought another bottle for me and my hubby. My hubby has been having some dry skin issues, which eventually leads to frequent skin irritation. I told him to switch to this instead of his Dettol. After the change, he did commented that this wash did not make his skin dry nor itchy. He was rather quite pleased with it though.

For me, I use this mainly in the mornings. A squirt of a 10 cents size is sufficient enough for the whole body. If you are looking for one that lathers well, you definitely won't find it here. It has almost NIL foam, which I am pleased to find.

Now the scent. The scent is something which I am not excited about. I mean it is nothing great, or bad either. I am more inclined to calming scents ( morel L'occitane's- like scents ).

One thing I must mention though, is that this wash leaves a slight film after rinsing. What I mean is, it gives you the feeling like you haven't wash it off thoroughly. I believe this 'film' serves to protect and moisturize our skin, no? That being said however, my skin does feel smooth and supple after using this wash. Heck, I don't even need to apply lotions anymore.

Overall

I am growing to like this wash a lot and I am seeing that this is going to be a staple in our bathroom. This wash is great value for money and a bottle of 1000 ml can last you a long, long time ( believe me ). My mom loves it and so does my hubby. This wash keeps my skin supple, hydrated and most importantly, comfortable ( even when I am frequently exposed in air-conditioned rooms )!

This item was purchased by me for my personal purposes. This review is based on my honest and personal experience with this product and is not influenced by any parties.
