Review: Moogoo Milk Wash

Moogoo Milk Wash 500ml MYR 59.00
( PWP Price MYR 49.00 )

In my blog, you may see that I have bought quite a number of items belonging to this brand. Some were positive, while some were not. One of the things that attracted me to this brand is that the ingredients used are of natural origin with no nasty contents. Moreover, it is easily available in our local pharmacies and the prices are not over the top.

There's no other reason why I bought this wash other than the fact that it was on a PWP promotion. Well...I am a sucker for promos and most of the things I bought are mostly on sale or promotional prices.

Product Description

Our main cleanser is one of the most gentle available. It is made from sugar and has virtually the same irritation score as water. This is important for children and those worried about harsh chemicals used in many cleansing products. Our main cleanser is also one if the most environmentally friendly available. We use milk protein and natural esters that have been proven to reduce drying of the skin and promote flexibility.

Ingredients:
Purified water
Gentle cleansers: Cocyl Glucoside and Decyl Glucoside, Sodium Lauroamphoacetate and Cocobetaine.
To Improve Skin Health: Milk Protein, Glyceryl Oleate, Xanthan Gum, Aloe Vera, Glycol Distearate.
To Keep Fresh: Glceryl Caprylate, Piroctone Olamine.

Note: I made a ingredient comparison between this and the milk shampoo and they share almost the same ingredients, except that the shampoo has 3 different ingredients.

My Experience

This milk wash has the same runny, creamy colour consistency as the shampoo and has the identical baby talc scent. I used about the size of 50 cents coin, which is just enough for my whole body except for my legs. This wash has minimal foam, unlike the commercial ones, which many may find unaccustomed to.

I find that this wash is very moisturising! In fact, I would say that it is the most moisturising wash I've used to date. I love it that not only it leaves my skin comfortably smooth to touch, it makes my skin feeling supple. On one of those lazy days, I can even skip using my body oil at night and wake up without my skin feeling taut and dry.

Even though I am liking this wash, I am not fan of their packaging. I experience the same leakage as the shampoo and this time, it is at the neck of the pump. Even at the time when I bought it all fully sealed, some of the contents leaked and spilled into the plastic bag. I personally feel that the bad packaging cannot be justified with the more than average pricing and they should really look into this.

Overall

I have no complaints on the wash, since it cleans and moisturises my skin well and would reconsider to repurchase again...only until they improve the packaging.

This item was purchased by me for my personal purposes. This review is based on my honest and personal experience with this product and is not influenced by any parties.

  1. I've always wanted to try this milk wash but the price is a huge deterrent. Can't bring myself to spend so much on a shower gel that will be used up within a month. Its funny the amount I'll spend on shampoo but not shower gel.

I use kindersoap's handmade soaps that cost RM20. Really lovely scents and it moisturizes my skin well. Lasts me up to a month or slightly more.

    1. I was a soap user before but I personally prefer shower gels because of hygiene reasons. I am not use to seeing gooey mess left in the soap dish after use:P

  2. Juz 50cents ..?? I'm using 2 pumps !! and I need to kinda brush away some water from my body b4 using, otherwise I will need more than 2 pumps. And, have u noticed, after shower your skin is "covered" by water, unlike other foam ones after rinsing water beads will "stand" on your skin.

How come you always got the leaky ones... funny

    1. My amount as stated above, is good for the upper body and doesn't count the legs. Apparently, I've seen many people complained about the packaging in their FB page. They also experience leakage problem like mine.

  3. I hve switched to using California Baby wash due to the dryness from using bath soaps. I have not seen this brand on the shelves here. I want to try this for my next online purchase.

  4. Hi...thank you for reviewing MooGoo - I'm about to buy this product :)
Do you also use this product as face cleanser? I read in MooGoo website that this product can be used as body and face wash.

  5. Hi! I don't because I have my own set of face cleanser, which I am comfortable in.
