My Experience

This eye gel is unscented ( as mentioned by them ), opaque and consistency is skewed towards runny. Just a little tiny amount of the gel is sufficient enough for both the eye area. What I liked is that I experienced some cooling effect when applied, which soothed my tired eyes.

The sample is good to last me for 2 1/2 weeks and so far, no complaints. It is a pretty decent eye gel and I think it will suit particularly for those who dislike creamy ones. Though it didn't eliminate the fine lines or the dark circles during the time when sampling this, I find that it hydrates my eye area really well. My only gripe is this product is retailing at RM 137 for 15 ml! I feel much comfortable to purchase this if the price is less than RM 60.

This item was purchased by me for my personal purposes. This review is based on my honest and personal experience with this product and is not influenced by any parties.

  1. How come we don't get Melvita here??? Ok, not that I've tried their stuff but I'll like the idea of having more organic choices!

  2. Dun worry, u can always do a haul whenever you are here in M'sia:P However, hope that it will arrive in S'pore soon. That said, S'pore has a much wider variety of organic brands than here. Probably competition is high there rather than here.:)

  3. I tried all kinds of eye creams, gel and nothing works for the dryness for my eye area. So I finally did the unthinkable by beauty gurus....I slapped on Vaseline Intensive Rescue Repairing Moisture Hypoallergenic Lotion (body lotion) on the eye area and onto the rest of my face. It's helping with the flaking on the eye area. The rest of the face is more moisturized too, no breakouts...yet (started this 2 days ago). I cannot use MVO AAO+ since it's giving me little zits. I'm not sure if all the ings are good for the face, but desperate measures! :)

  4. Oh wow....a little rich isn't it? So far, no millia seeds? Awww...so sorry to hear that MVO AAO gives you little zits. Your zits are allergy reactions or plainly just zits? I did have a couple too when I first started using it because I was being over generous on my face. Later on it was fine.
I agree that good eye creams/gels are hard to find. Because of the dryness around your eye area, it's best to keep that area moisturised. I am currently using an eye cream from DeVita and so far, it's doing very well for me and my hubby. Reason I bought it because it contained hyaluronic acid.

    1. I did write to MVO to ask, Claire and Marie said it's allergy to some of the ingredients in the oil. They are sending me Treatment Oil to try out. Seriously, I have zits no matter how little I use and millia seeds too. Zits I know will go away but the millia seeds...I don't even know how to squeeze them out.

And I spoke too soon, I broke out a little with the new experiment I am on with the body lotion!! :(

I am going to check out DeVita eye cream. I should probably soak some cotton pads with hada labo lotion and put them on as eye mask!

    2. You did the right thing by writing to Claire and they are honest enough to say that you may be allergic to one of the oils. Wow, nice of them to send the treatment oil too:) I also hv one but yet to try. Tell me how it fared ya;P

Ooo...the lotion thingy didn't work out. I think your skin is at a very sensitive stage right now. Better be vary of adding more things that will aggravate it further. Use items that are as gentle as possible.

Millia seeds are HARD to get it out. Hey, you can check out Sesame's blog @ Vivawoman and I remember she had some tricks to rid them.

The DeVita eye cream is pretty good but I think you better wait a little while cos of your current skin condition now. Anyway, I bought mine at iHerb cos it's cheaper.

  5. Most Organic Eye Contour Cream is intended for long-term use. They can not only treat skin problems, but can also prevent them. So, it is a good idea to use a top-notch Organic Eye Contour Cream consistently to stay away from under eye circles and eye wrinkles.
