<div style="text-align: left;">
Oh my....It certainly has been ages since my last review..and I have so much more products to catch on. Not wasting any more time, I'll just go straight to this review. I purchased this last year and has been using this since September last year. Yes, that's 6 months and let's see if this is a keeper or a one time off.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><u><span style="color: #38761d;">Product Description</span></u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;">A gentle cleansing milk designed to leave more sensitive or delicate skin purified, fresh, calm and soothed.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<ul>
<li><span style="color: #38761d;">Gently removes dirt, pollution and make up.</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #38761d;">Skin purified, calm and soothed.</span></li>
</ul>
<div>
<b><u><span style="color: #38761d;">Ingredients</span></u></b></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #38761d;">Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Extract, Cetearyl Ethyhexanoate, Cetearyl
Alcohol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil,
Cetearyl Glucoside, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Myristyl Myristate,
Glycerin, Ribes Nigrum (Black Currant) Seed Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower)
Seed Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Foeniculum Vulgare (Fennel) Fruit Extract, Oryzanol,
Bisabolol, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit
Extract, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate, Citric Acid, Xanthan Gum, Citrus Nobilis
(Mandarin Orange) Peel Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Cinnamomum
Linalloliferum (Ho Wood) Leaf Oil, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Oil,
Limonene, Citronellol, Geraniol, Linalool, Tocopherol. </span></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b><u>My Experience</u></b></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The cleansing milk is semi thick, not as thick as Antipodes and not as runny as Eucerine. It's somewhere in between which I love.The wonderful floral base <b>scent is lovely</b> and<b> light</b>.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I usually use this only at night and followed by another gel cleanser. I am surprised by it's texture and it's feels <b>good on the skin</b> when used. After rinsing off, it really makes my skin feels clean and nice, and it does not <b>leave any greasy film on the skin</b>. I like the scent too as it kinda prepares you before your sleep.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<div>
I have been using this every night for 6 months now and surprisingly, there are still some product left in the bottle, which can last me another 2 months.Talk about <b>economical</b>! By the way, I find that using just a pea size is sufficient enough to do a good cleanse.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
May I make a mention again on their wonderful packaging. The inside of the bottle has this 'vaccum pack' mechanism, which just squeezes out every single bit of the product when it comes to an end. I like it as it <b>prevents wastage</b> and you can easily tell how much product you are left with.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I also find this very <b>good for my sensitive skin</b>. I had a flare up recently and I am so glad that this product didn't further aggravate the condition. It also didn't cause any peeling and I find this product very moisturising to my skin after cleansing.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b><u>Overall</u></b></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I find absolutely no fault with this cleanser and I do recommend this to those who have sensitive and dry skin. I can safely say that this is a <b>staple in my routine</b> and I have found one cleansing milk which I adore! It is very likely that I am going back to this one once my bottle is finished.</div>

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xyS5vNFz6qs/UtYWoXpt7RI/AAAAAAAAAog/D2v0vpWICDg/s1600/IMG_9790a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xyS5vNFz6qs/UtYWoXpt7RI/AAAAAAAAAog/D2v0vpWICDg/s640/IMG_9790a.jpg" height="640" width="478" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Melvita Argan Oil ( Huile d'Argan ) 50 ml MYR 111</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Last year, I made two impromptu purchases from Melvita and I now sigh in relief that the purchases were not in vain. I had success with the Rose Floral Water, which preps my skin really well before any application of serums or oils.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I am an avid user of face oils for 5 years now and I can safely attest that it works remarkably well for my skin type. ( Oily T-zone with parched cheeks ) So purchasing a face oil from Melvita came very naturally for me and I decided to go with Argan Oil, as I have used Rosehip, Jojoba and Avocado oils from other brands before.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<u><b><span style="color: #38761d;">Product Description</span></b></u></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;">The Argan tree is found on the Moroccan coast and produces an oil that is exceptionally rich in essential fatty acids and sterols. It has been known for centuries for its<b> repairing properties</b> on <b>dry and sensitive skin</b> and for its <b>moisturizing</b> and <b>protecting qualities</b>. A real 'beauty secret' for Berber woman, the oil is made from un-roasted Argan kernels: it is also traditionally used for massaging joints and for nail and hair care.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;">Ingredients</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;">100% Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil from Organic Farming</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><b><u>My Experience</u></b><br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The oil is slighty runny, with a light yellow tinge. One may not be able to detect any scent at the beginning but with prolong use, there is a faint nutty scent to it.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Depending on how much you squirt unto the palm of your hands, this oil may seemed a tad greasy if dispensed too much. For me, I like <b>to massage in the oil, little by little unto my face </b>until I feel that it is sufficient enough. May I point that the dispenser pump on the bottle can be troublesome at times. It makes it very hard to control the amount we need each time. If you dispense too much, just use it for your arms or neck.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
When I first started using this in September last year, I was <i>not totally wowed</i> by it. Yes, it was moisturizing but aside from that, I <b>didn't see any beneficial properties it did for my skin....until Jan this year,</b> where I began to see changes on skin. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Recently, I had been swimming quite a bit and you know how it can sometimes makes your skin a little drier and damaged than before. I began to replace my normal oil with this Argan oil and I was so pleased to find that not only it <b>replenishes back moisture </b>to my skin, it <b>repairs my skin as well</b>. I noticed that my <b>skin looked 'refreshed' and 'healthy' every morning</b>. It is rare that I can wake up every morning to that. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
On top of that, I was having some '<i>tiny rash-like bumps</i> ' on some areas of my face due to sensitivity and I was quite pleased to find that <b>this oil actually helps to diminish the problem, thus repairing it in the process</b>.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><u>Overall</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This is a slowly, but surely effective oil in <b>repairing dry</b> and <b>sensitive skin</b>....at least for me. It has also effectively and <b>speedily</b> <b>lighten some of my acne</b> or<b> mosquito marks as well</b>. A real bonus for me. What can I say...this is a winner in my books and will be a permanent resident on my beauty table !</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DHmPy9Px9kw/UpQaPzA5asI/AAAAAAAAAoQ/pwHMaPNXSmE/s1600/IMG_9788a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DHmPy9Px9kw/UpQaPzA5asI/AAAAAAAAAoQ/pwHMaPNXSmE/s640/IMG_9788a.jpg" width="478" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Melvita Damask Rose Floral Water 200ml MYR 122</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Many of us are still oblivious to the fact that toner is an essential in our skin care regime. I used to be one of them. I would rather spend more money on serums, oils or even cleanser, than investing in a good toner. Ever since I started using oil, toner/ floral water has since become an important step in prepping up my skin before any oil or serum applications. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I was a long time user of Dermalogica's Active Toner and later, changing to an anti-aging mist. I was, in a few months back, using a hyaluronic and collagen toner from Harahuda, in which I would not want to talk much about it because it didn't make my skin look any better.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
My skin was <b>dry</b>, <b>blotchy</b> and <b>dull</b> during my time with the Harahuda toners and I personally couldn't stand it much longer and began my search for a new toner. Hence, I purchased the above toner because I was pretty desperate and they were having some good promotion at that time.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><u><span style="color: #38761d;"><i>Product Description</i></span></u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;"><i><br /></i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;"><i>Certified organic and fair trade, our floral water is obtained by steam distillation of fresh Rosa Damascena petals. Our unique extraction method enables us to obtain a floral water that is particularly rich in active ingredients, making it a naturally powerful formula. With its fresh, delicate scent, our floral water helps to combat dehyration and regenerate the skin.</i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;"><i><br /></i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><u><span style="color: #38761d;"><i>Ingredients</i></span></u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;"><i>Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Water, Polyepsilon-lysine, Citronellol, Geraniol, Eugenol.</i></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><u>My Experience</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
When I first tested this floral water at the back of my hand at the store, I was quite impressed with the delicate rose smell and the cooling feeling it gave. Back at home, I was equally impressed as I did at the store, as I felt this preps up my skin. I feel <b>refreshed</b> and <b>my senses, relaxed</b>. Like any other toner or floral water, my choice of application is misting my entire face with it and gently tapping it all over.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Mind you, <b>don't expect to see immediate results with this</b>. As any other natural products, it takes time to see and feel the difference. It took me slightly over a week's time to actually see minor difference on my skin. Fast forward after 3 months of usage, my skin looked balanced and my cheeks area, which are prone to dryness, does not feel dehydrated or 'tight'.<br />
<br />
At one time, I was sick and you know how it is when you are at that stage, the face is the first thing one would notice if something is wrong with you.Very surprisingly, I didn't look much like a dead rat. Though there were slight unevenness on the the skin tone, my face looked hydrated and balanced. It's weird but I guess this floral water may have lend some contributions to the balance.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
While I do not wholly suggest that this floral water acts alone in putting hydration back to my skin, but I can safely say that this greatly aids in the <b>absorption </b>of oils and serums. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><u>Overall</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Though this floral water helped to bring some hydration back to my skin, I personally feel that I can purchase any other floral water of this standard from online ( iHerb, Garden of Wisdom ), at a far more cheaper price than Melvita. While it is good toner/floral water to have and last pretty long too, likely I won't be repurchasing it. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Alterna Bamboo Luminous Shine Shampoo 250ml MYR 73.00</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
My quest for a shampoo of 'Holy Grail' status has been a tedious search. Just when I thought I have finally found 'The One', it starts to play havoc to my scalp and hair after 2 weeks. Is it just me or everyone feels the same when it comes to finding the right shampoo? Personally, searching for the right shampoo seems more difficult than finding the right skincare. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Anyhow, I've heard much about Alterna Bamboo through bloggers and I was so intrigued about it that I finally bought it when I was shopping at Sephora.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;">What it says?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;">This gentle sulfate-free cleanser combines strenghtening eco-certified Bamboo Extract & shine-amplifying Indian Gooseberry for healthy radiance. Freshly cleansed hair is left moisturized, shiny and brilliantly glossy. Formulated with Colour Hold technology. Safe for colour treated hair. Free of: Sulfates, Parabens, Gluten, Sodium Chloride, Phthalates and Synthetic Colour.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><u>My Experience</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Shampoo is of a clear gel and quite fragrantly fragranced, a bit too sweet for my liking though. The shampoo foams very minimally, which is a good indicator of minimal or zero harsh surfactants. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
During my first try, my hair was super oily at the scalp and I need to do a second wash, just to make sure that it is clear at the sebum. However, after rinsing, my hair feels <b>awfully squeaky clean</b> and <b>straw-y</b>. Not a nice feeling at all. My normal hair conditioner helped a bit to detangle my hair but I don't feel that my hair was nice to touch. Blow drying actually made my hair look and feel worse with this shampoo.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The second trial was a bit better. I skip the second wash and instead of using my normal conditioner, I proceed with my hair mask. And...it made a LOT of difference to my hair. Not only does my hair looked tamed, it gives me a <b>nice body, volume and feel to it</b>. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
After using this <b>alternatively with another regular shampoo</b>, I personally find that this shampoo helps to balance my hair and scalp. I experienced <b>less flake</b> and <b>itchiness </b>and<b> </b>ironically, it manages to control the oil secretion of my hair. Very weird indeed.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><u>Overall</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This shampoo is not suitable for everyday use, as it tends to make my hair squeaky and straw-y looking. Ironically, it worked <b>fantastically well </b>when paired with my hair mask and manages to control my oil secretion when used alternately with another regular shampoo. Funnily, this is the only shampoo that gives me a <b>nice volume</b> and <b>body </b>to my hair.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Bioderma Crealine Solution Micellaire 500ml Euro 21.00 for 2 bottles</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Yes, this is the famed cleansing water from Bioderma and I finally, I got to try out this product! In Asian countries, they go by the name of Bioderma Sensibo but in Europe, they call it Bioderma Crealine. I am not going to write much about the company's background, nor the product description as they are plenty introductions over the web over this product. I am just going straight to the ingredients and my experience.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><u><span style="color: #38761d;">Ingredients</span></u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d; font-size: x-small;">Water, Peg-6 caprylic/capric glycerides, glycerin, polysorbate 20, peg-40 hydrogenated castor oil, ammonium lactate, plantago major leaf extract, mannitol, xylitol, rhamnose, frutooligo saccharides, propylene glycol, disodium edta, cetrimonium bromide.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><u>My Experience</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Bioderma Crealine is a micellaire solution or cleansing water, which is basically a face and eye make-up remover for sensitive skin. Using cleansing water as my first step of my double cleanse process is a norm for me. I was a longtime user of <a href="http://myorganicjourney11.blogspot.com/2012/02/review-loccitane-fresh-face-water.html">L'occitane's Fresh Face Water</a> before Bioderma Crealine came into the picture.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Strong Cleansing Power</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The solution is quite easy to use; just pour some unto your cotton pad and gently swipe across your face or eyes. And voila......everything is off! Simple as that. If I need to compare, Bioderma removes all dirt and makeup <b>more powerfully than L'occitane's</b>. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Though Bioderma Crealine works exceptionally well in removing makeup from your face, I <b>can't positively say it works well for the eyes</b>. Yes, it works great, only if you are removing basic eyeshadows. For eyeliners and mascaras, it has its reservations. It works quite well on removing Clio and Kiss Me Heroine liquid eyeliners but did not budge at all on my Majolica Majorca Glamour On Mascara. Many have said that Majolica Majorca's mascara's are hard to remove but I find that it removes well only on oil based eye makeup removers.</div>

<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Good for Sensitive Skin</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I find that Bioderma is really good for those with sensitive skin as personally, I do not find it irritating or drying to my skin. It does not irritate my eyes either! In fact, I find my skin feeling comfortable and refreshed, after every use.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Overall</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This quickly replaces my L'occitane Fresh Face Water as I find that not only the cleansing power is more superior, it very economical to use too. I started using Bioderma since mid July and till now, my bottle is still 3/4 full! Plus, the price is more reasonable too. The only downside is that it is not available in Malaysia. Boo...So if anyone is going to France, don't ask them for the Eiffel Tower miniature, ask for this instead! </div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have always wanted to try Ren's products....but, the prices in Malaysia are pretty steep. However, if we order direct from Ren's UK website, the prices and discounts made it a reasonable purchase. Coincidentally, I had a relative visiting UK at that time, I had them send my orders to their hotel, just to take advantage of the free UK delivery.</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><u>My Experience</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have heard great reviews of their Glycolatic Radiance Renewal Mask and was very eager to try that. But seeing that I have sensitive skin, I opted with this instead as this is the mild version of the Glycolatic mask. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ArbH534pujs/Um80I1tsdKI/AAAAAAAAAnQ/KRezsjE4iJk/s1600/IMG_9252a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ArbH534pujs/Um80I1tsdKI/AAAAAAAAAnQ/KRezsjE4iJk/s640/IMG_9252a.jpg" width="480" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
As pictured, this mask comes with a muslin cloth, which to be used to wipe off the mask. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Well thought packaging</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Ren's packaging has always been fascinating and I like that pliable plastic inside the plastic container which compresses out every product to minimise wastage. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-P_TmZ7wcUtE/Um9Idh3GphI/AAAAAAAAAng/fXXwvoN5u-M/s1600/IMG_0095a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-P_TmZ7wcUtE/Um9Idh3GphI/AAAAAAAAAng/fXXwvoN5u-M/s400/IMG_0095a.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I particularly like that they provide a cap to close the little pump! This helps the product to retain its freshness.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Sticky Texture</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The mask itself is very thick, smells and feels alike a texture of a "<b>marmalade jam</b>". It is rather<b> sticky</b> when applied and the <b>pasty texture</b> made it hard to apply on the skin evenly. You can either use your fingers but in my case, I use my trusty facial brush. Upon application, I was glad that I didn't experience any tingling or burning sensation. It actually feels comfortable.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Works as good as an exfoliator</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The instructions given was to apply in generous amount, leave it for 10 minutes, pat and lift with fingertips and using the dampen muslin cloth to gently wipe off the mask. Lastly, rinse skin with warm water.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Honestly, the "pat and lift with fingertips" was a <b>redundant move</b>. I can't lift the mask using my fingertips because it is too sticky and thick. However, removing it with the dampen muslin cloth actually acts as an exfoliating process, which later, <b>makes my face feels clean and very smooth to touch</b>. This also makes my skin absorbs serums or facial oils readily well. This mask is for brightening and skin renewal, and I do see some mild brightening on my skin. Though my skin feels very finely exfoliated, I do not feel that this mask gives me any extra hydration. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Mild allergic reaction </span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Despite making my face feels clean and smooth, and a little brighter, I don't think that I am able to use this frequently as I noticed I developed some very tiny bumps around my chin area 2 days after. Any bumps on my skin is usually a sign of allergy reaction and in this case, this is<b> a mild one</b>.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><b>Overall</b></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This is mainly an exfoliating and skin renewal mask and I would have liked it more if this mask provide some hydration action. Sadly, I am restricting the use of this mask to once every 2 weeks, due to the mild allergic reaction, which I got from this product.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<strong>Phytobaume Colour Protect Express Conditioner 150ml Euro 10.90</strong></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Conditioning my hair comes naturally for me after shampooing. I have thick, volumious Asian hair and if I miss this step, my hair goes frizzy and could be quite dry at times. Blow drying my hair is an absolute must for me because my hair would take AGES to be fully dried! It is pretty understandable to see the need to condition my hair as my frequent blow drying could further dry out and damage my hair.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Since I was impressed with the Phyto shampoo range, trying out their hair conditioners was a naturally easy decision. I zoomed in on this, which offers protection on colour-treated hair.</div>

<span style="color: #38761d;"><span style="color: #38761d;">Phytobaume Colour Protect</span> instantly detangles and protects colour-treated or highlighted hair. Sea buckthorn extract has nurturing and antioxidant properties that acts as a cellular protector to lock-in color and preventing fading. Grapefruit extract combined with hibiscus flower acids seal the cuticle for ultimate shine. Hair becomes easier to detangle with improved manageability, and is soft and shiny. Color is protected and vibrant.</span></div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<strong><u>My Experience</u></strong></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The conditioner is very thick in consistency, almost paste like, with a nice subtle scent. My hair is at shoulder length, so a size of a 10 cent is suffice for me to run it through my damp hair from mid length of my hair to my hair ends. Though the instruction says to rinse immediately, I prefer to leave it on for at least 1 minute before rinsing.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This conditioner does detangles my hair almost instantly but it does not give me the extremely soft feel and touch after rinsing. I am probably comparing to the store bought ones which contains mainly dimethicone, to give the instantaneous 'soft feel effect' we often see on ads. This Phyto conditioner leans towards using natural ingredients, so probably that is the reason why I do not feel the extremely soft effect... which is a good thing, if you view it from the natural perspective.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
On colour protection, I can, more or less say, it is doing it's job. My hair colour does not 'bleed' than much during rinsing.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
All seems good at this point, eh? Well, not quite. After blow drying my hair, I do feel my hair is <b>slightly coarse to touch, dull</b> and not as soft as I would expect it to be. It was a bit of a disappointment actually. It gives me a view that the conditioner is good only on the surface part. If I am expecting any hair repair actions, a hair mask would probably be best. Secondly, on day two, my hair went limp. It is weird that though I do not feel the soft effects, it weighed down my hair. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b><u>Overall</u></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A bit of a disappointment on the results, as I was expecting soft and shiny hair. Instead, my hair is coarse to touch, slightly dull and limp. This conditioner acts as good detangler, at best.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Kiss Me Heroine Make Smooth Liquid Eyeliner 0.4 ml MYR 49.90</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
( This is not an organic/natural based product )</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Eyeliners are my thing and are my staples in my makeup routine. I wear glasses, so for more emphasis on my eyes, I much prefer them to mascaras. Mascaras do give me smearing problems because my eye area sweats easily.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have the <b>'most oily lids..ever</b>' and I can't use pencil eyeliner because it would smudge terribly on me. The only eyeliner that can last a little longer on my lids are the liquid ones. My first was Lancome Artliner. I love the tip and it's easy for me to draw a nice line but it does not last long on my lids. The most is 2 hours. Come <a href="http://myorganicjourney11.blogspot.com/2013/05/review-clios-eyeliner-range.html"><b>Clio</b></a>, which I thought is great. I love the intensity of the liquid pen and the gelpresso but it still gives me panda eyes. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I was at the point where I thought <b>no eyeliner in the world will be able to withstand my oily</b> ( and sweaty ) lids..until I heard of Kiss Me. When I browse through the internet, most claim that this is smudge, sweat, sebum-proof. The results are <i>almost on par with the award winning K-Palette 1 Day Tattoo Eyeliner</i>, except that the pigmentation in Kiss Me is more intense. I was really torn between the two and decided with Kiss Me first.</div>

<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><i><span style="color: #38761d;">Water-proof</span></i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;">Being highly-resistant to tears, sweat, water and sebum, this product allows you to keep the 'just applied' finish throughout the day.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b><span style="color: #38761d;">Can be remove by lukewarm water</span></b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;">Can easily be removed with lukewarm water despite the long-lasting finish.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<i><b><span style="color: #38761d;">Jet-black colour to add greater definition to your eyes</span></b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;">Enhanced blackness gives an even darker colour and powerfully accentuates your pupils for a striking look.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><i><span style="color: #38761d;">Easy-to-draw ultra thin brush</span></i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;">An elastic ultra thin brush ( only 0.1 mm-wide tip ) was adopted. With the firm super fine brush, you can easily draw even the most difficult lines perfectly, such as the thinnest line along the eyelash base and upward lines around the outer corner of the eyes.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><u>My Experience</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The eyeliner is easy to hold as it is <b>light and slim</b>, giving me better control when I draw my lines. I love the <b>tip of this eyeliner and it is the thinnest</b> I have ever come across! It makes it so much easier to draw a nice thin line from your inner lash line, and subsequently thickening the line to create a flick. The tip is much <b>smoother to draw a nice line</b> than Clio's and the <b>ink is consisten</b>t. The <b>intensity is very good</b> too and it <b>dries pretty quickly</b> than Clio's too. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
As I said earlier, <b>my eye lids are horribly oily and sweats</b> easily. To make sure my eye makeup last, I usually like to prime my eyes with a primer. With Clio and Lancome's eyeliner, even with primer, it last me 2-5 hours max. Now with Kiss Me, this last me at <b>amazingly 8 hours, without a single smudge</b>! I am not kidding you. This thing is <b>seriously smudge</b> and <b>sweat proof</b>! The best thing is the intensity of the colour remains the same throughout.<br />
<br />
Recently, I wore this eyeliner, <b>without a primer</b> for a 'steamboat' date with a friend. Though it is in an air-conditioned area, the steam was practically blowing at my face! I was a bit petrified if I would have the dreaded panda look when I step out of the place. Well, never can I imagine...I looked normal! When I get back home, I can only detect very, very tiny smudge at my lower lash line when looked closely. From afar, I looked fine.<br />
<br />
On to removal, this one is easy. Much easier than Clio's, if I have to say. My usual removal method is soaking my cotton pad with eye makeup remover and leaving it on my eye area for a couple of seconds. Very easily, most of the eyeliner is removed, except those close to the lash line. I like that it doesn't leave a lot of 'flakes' during removal.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><u>Overall</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have to say this: This is the best eyeliner I have used to date! The staying power is amazing, even on my oily lids. I am seriously wow-ed by this. Enough said.</div>

When I first started this blog, I was dealing with dry and dehydrated skin. The following year, my skin was fine but the sensitivity increased. Fast forward to present, I am currently <b>dealing with over production of oil on my T-zone area</b> ( forehead, nose and chin ) where else, both my cheeks area are dry.Call it hormonal imbalance or seasonal changes but one gotta deal with it quick to balance up the area or it may get worse.</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">Morning : <b>Cleanse</b> ( Mild Cleanser ) < <b>Toner</b> ( Hyaluronic Based ) < <b>Replenish</b> ( Alternate with Day Cream and Face Oil ) < <b>Protect</b> ( MVO Everyday Coverage spf 20 )</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a>With the current routine, I use a mild cleanser, mainly at my T-zone area, just to make sure that the accumulation of oil is properly cleanse before I move on with the rest of my skincare steps. I used to use 2 drops of oil but now I use a squirt, applying on my cheeks first, followed by my neck and lastly at my T-zone area. Using this sequence helps to distribute less facial oil on the oil prone area. I use the same method of application when I use the day cream on alternate days.<br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">Night : <b>Double Cleanse</b> ( Milk based and Gel ) < <b>Toner </b>( Rose Mist ) < <b>Replenish</b> ( Facial Oil ) < <b>Layering </b>( Normal Night Cream ) < <b>Eye</b> ( Eye Cream )</span><br />
<br />
The night routine is pretty straight forward, but tweaking it by using the same method of application for the face oil. For the layering, only apply on the dry area ( the cheeks ) to seal in the oil.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Treatment</span></b><br />
<br />
My mask are mostly hydration based but with the current T-zone problem, I switched back to use my trusty <a href="http://myorganicjourney11.blogspot.com/2011/10/my-blemish-treatment-part-3-bedak-sejuk.html">Bedak Sejuk</a> treatment mask, applying only on the oil prone areas once a week. This treatment is the <b>easiest </b>and<b> most effective</b> ( for me ) to balance out the problematic area.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Do Not Over Exfoliate</span></b><br />
<br />
This is true in my case as I have the tendency to over exfoliate, especially my nose area. I have a long history with blackheads problems and I was hoping that if exfoliate that area more, more of the blackheads will diminish. Hmm...fat chance. It made it worse. By morning, my nose area secretes so much oil!<br />
<br />
Over exfoliate can lead to skin imbalance, which leads to sensitivity and dryness.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Diminish The Use of Products Containing SLS or ALS</span></b><br />
<br />
Products containing surfactants like sodium lauryl sulfate or ammonium laurel sulfate can be really harsh and drying to skin. I did have one experience, where I was using a exfoliant, containing SLS. It literally dry out my skin so much and has, one way or another, contributed a little in making my skin sensitive.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Replenish Your Body</span></b><br />
<br />
We have heard from many beauty and medical experts ( even our moms ) that we MUST DRINK LOTS OF WATER. I am guilty as charged as I have to remind my self everyday to drink 8 or more glasses a day!<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: large;">Cut Down Your Intake Of Fried or Junk Food</span></b><br />
<br />
I know it is easier said than done as it is difficult to refrain oneself from eating this...especially living in Malaysia, with all the fried items galore. Here we have to choose what is best for us...beauty or indulgence?<br />

<b>Yes! Nurse Protect Your Lovely Hands 50ml MYR 29.90</b><br />
<span style="font-size: x-small;"><br /></span>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
A few months ago, I was given the opportunity by the lovely peeps from <a href="http://www.thelovejars.com/"><b>The Love Jars</b></a> to try one of the products they carry called Yes! Nurse Hand Cream.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have a history of love-hate relationship with hand creams and honestly, I have yet to find a good brand which is worthwhile to keep. This is why I always rely on my body oils instead to keep my hands supple. Weird but it works for me. When this opportunity arose, I was a bit worried because I am not sure if this is able to meet the expectations I have regarding hand creams. Well, let's see if it does.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><u><span style="color: #38761d;">Brand</span></u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">All the best things in life started with a story. Apparently chocolate bars
were created by a Doctor and his sons in the early 18th century after using it
as a medicinal product. Boy do we wish we they were still prescribing chocolate
today! </span><br />
<span style="color: #38761d; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #38761d; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">We do however have our own unique tale to tell. Yes! Nurse was co-founded by
a young paediatric nurse at the beginning of 2009. Having been signed off work
with dry, cracked and sore hands, she noticed that many of her colleagues were
suffering in the same way. </span><br />
<span style="color: #38761d; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #38761d; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">Trying numerous hand creams with little or no effect she decided to research
and develop a unique formula that actually worked.</span><br />
<span style="color: #38761d; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #38761d; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">Guided by nurses across the UK, she co-founded Yes! Nurse and developed an
intensive moisturising hand formula that specifically combats the daily routines
faced by nurses. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #38761d; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: x-small;">Yes! Nurse is now a rapidly growing cult brand and quick becoming a trusted
favourite of nurses, busy mums and beauty fanatics alike from across the UK.
Yes! Nurse offers a powerful ‘Super Moisturising’ formula crammed full of
essential Omega’s, antioxidants and natural actives – together designed to
soothe, hydrate and revive tired skin all day long.</span><br />

<u><b><span style="color: #38761d;">Directions</span></b></u><br />
<span style="color: #38761d;">Apply a pea-sized amount to clean, dry hands regularly throughout the day, and massage well into the skin for at least 30 seconds.</span><br />

I was greeted with this lovely sight when I open the package! I find that the little gestures and effort from The Love Jars is just lovely and it does make the receiving customer feels warm and appreciated.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
Cute packaging and illustration!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The consistency of the hand cream is semi-thick, with a lovely mild 'baby-powdery' scent. As advised, I use a pea-sized amount and massage it well into my skin. I am surprised that it <b>doesn't leave my hands feeling tacky or sticky</b>. It just leaves a thin film of protection, which then slowly sinks in after several minutes. I am not sure if others have the same experience as me, I had experiences with the L'occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream, which leaves my hands feeling tight and uncomfortable ( even with generous amount ). I am glad that this<b> does not leave your hands feeling tight</b>.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
My hands are subjected to constant washing, sometimes up to 5-6 times a day with a disinfectant liquid. Because of this, my hands are always dry and tight and no amount of lotions or hand creams I have used were able to give me the nice, moist hands. So this is where my body oil comes into play. It is the only way for me bring back moisture to my hands.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Now with this hand cream, I was taken by surprise on <b>how it replenishes moisture back to my hands almost immediately</b>, making my hands feeling comfortable. However, it does not give you the whole moisture protection with just one use and the feeling would just slowly wear off after 2 hours. In my case, I <b>need to reapply after 3-4 hours</b> to keep my hands feeling comfortable. One thing I like about this hand cream is that it <b>does not hinder your everyday routine</b>. Some hand creams would often leave an overly slip, due to silicones, which makes it a hassle just to grab things with your hands. </div>
<br />
<b><u>Overall</u></b><br />
<br />
This hand cream definitely does what it says and has given me protection to my hands for the past one month or so. This is a <b>keeper for me</b> and has met the expectations I have on hand creams. If I have to gripe about something, well...it's the size! I wish these will come in bigger tubes as with the existing size, it will last me to 3 months max. Apart from my gripe on the size, I may have found the hand cream, which is <b>worthwhile for me to invest in the long run</b>.<br />

<b><u>My Experience</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This oil is housed in a nice limited edition glass bottle with a spray nozzle. This looked quite luxurious actually and would make any dressers looked lovely and elegant.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Though it says that it is suitable for face, I used this mostly for my body and hair. For my body, I use this right after my shower as oils <b>usually absorbs well on damp skin</b>.( <i>Not wet</i> ) True as it says, this is indeed a dry oil as it <b>absorbs very quickly, leaving my skin feeling nice</b> and <b>comfortable</b>. Unlike the MVO Anti-Aging Body Oil or the Weleda Body Oil, this Nuxe Oil does not make your skin sticky or oily at all. If I need to compare, Nuxe Huile is deemed more <i>suitable for our weather condition ( perfect for summer )</i>, where else, MVO Body Oil and Weleda is more suitable for colder weather because it is quite 'heavy'.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
On hair, this needs to be applied only on hair ends after blow drying your hair. I love this because it does not weigh down my hair at all and tames my hair ends well. Love it!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
About the scent, this oil smells strongly of jasmine. I am sitting on a fence here as I usually do not like heavily scented oils but strangely, this oils seems to prep me well before I go to sleep. My hubs like the scent and well....I am ok with it I guess.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><u>Overall</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This oil is good to have, should you like any multi purpose products but for me, it is not a must have item. It is good if you like your skin to be grease free and personally, I find this suitable for our weather condition is Malaysia. Overall, this oil does help in maintaining moisture of your skin in air-conditioned rooms and helps to tame and condition your hair ends well.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Nature Republic Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel 300ml MYR 32.90</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
When I was down with eczema last year, my TCM practitioner recommended me to use pure aloe vera sap on my affected area. I stand today, healed from my eczema woes and I can honestly say that it WORKS! That, to me, has been the best discovery to date. ( Read more about it <a href="http://myorganicjourney11.blogspot.com/2012/09/my-eczema-treatment-part-3-pure-aloe.html"><b>HERE</b></a> )<br />
<br />
It has since been a norm to me to use it to treat any skin related issues I encounter, be it pimple, dryness, or contact dermatitis. However, I only have one pot of my precious Aloe Vera plant at my home and it breaks my heart every time if I have to cut one of it's stems. Anyone who have a pot of Aloe Vera plant knows that it is painstakingly long for it to grow into full size.<br />
<br />
To save my precious Aloe Vera from further agony, I went into Nature Republic one fine day and bought a tub of their best selling Aloe Vera Soothing Gel.<br />
<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
<b><u>Product Description</u></b><br />
<br />
<span style="color: #38761d;">Enriched with 92% aloe vera! Mild formula free from paraben, mineral oil and artificial colours. This soothing gel with 92% organic aloe vera certified by California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF) can be used to mildly moisturize various parts of the body such as the face, arms, legs and hair.</span><br />
<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #38761d;"><b>Ingredients</b>: <span style="font-size: x-small;">Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract ( 92% ), alcohol, glyceryl polyacrylate, dipropylene glycol, butylene glycol, glycerin, propylene glycol, 1,2-hexanediol, polyglutamic acid, betaine sodium hyaluronate, carendula officinalis flower extract, mentha viridis ( spearmint ) extract, melissa officinalis extract, carbomer, peg-60 hydrogenated castor oil, triethanolamine, phenoxyethane, water, parfum, disodium edta.</span></span><br />
<br />
Note: I would not park this under pure organic product because of other ingredients listed, especially alcohol and parfum.</div>
<br />
<b><u>My Experience</u></b><br />
<br />
The clear gel comes in a huge tub, 300 ml to be exact and I must say that it <b>quite a deal</b>. The gel is clear and looked semi thick. Why I mentioned it 'looked' semi thick, is because it quickly becomes runny ( like water ) when you rub the gel to your skin. This is <b>unlike the 'real' Aloe Vera sap</b>, where the feeling has a more slimy substance like, which then slowly sinks into the skin but leaving behind a soft protective layer.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Jj8b3ZDQiro/Uf8_NQfRZAI/AAAAAAAAAj0/-hPtM1EMFdQ/s1600/IMG_7816a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Jj8b3ZDQiro/Uf8_NQfRZAI/AAAAAAAAAj0/-hPtM1EMFdQ/s400/IMG_7816a.jpg" width="298" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
The gel has a fresh cucumber scent to it and gives a cooling effect once you rub unto your skin. I must say that the cooling effect is good to soothe sun-burns but may I point out that the cooling effect comes from the alcohol content from this gel.<br />
<br />
If you do a quick google, Nature Republic did publish several uses of this gel a couple of years back. The cute illustration can still be found....but here's one that I got from this <a href="http://honestlyspeakingg.blogspot.com/2013/07/nature-republic-aloe-vera-92-soothing.html">site</a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Bg7eJC8e3Bs/Uf9rAfGcoFI/AAAAAAAAAkE/N-ASkKjvvbU/s1600/NR.bmp" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="271" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Bg7eJC8e3Bs/Uf9rAfGcoFI/AAAAAAAAAkE/N-ASkKjvvbU/s400/NR.bmp" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I must admit that I didn't use them as per illustrated except for body care! I have dry skin and I just couldn't bear to apply any of it to my face because of the high alcohol content. I only use this mainly on my post <b>eczema skin</b> ( on the palm of my hands ) <b>when it is flared up or looks flaky</b>. Sometimes, I use it as <b>spot treatment</b> if I have a pimple or two. I must say that it works.<br />
<br />
I have been using this since May and initially, I wasn't impressed. Many claim that it is moisturising, but I find it isn't so. After application, you do feel it leaves your skin soft to touch but then, I find that the feeling is <b>temporal</b>. I find that it doesn't quite perform as good as the real thing. With real Aloe Vera sap ( straight from the plant ), you can see healing on affected area within a week. With this Nature Republic gel, it would take a longer period to see significant changes.<br />
<br />
As I mentioned earlier, I only use this gel as a treatment on my eczema skin ( on the hands ) whenever it begins to itch or peel. Which means, I need to apply the gel on the affected spot, at least 4-6 times a day. What I did was I decant the gel into my beloved Muji bottle and this makes it so easy for me to use it where ever I go.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-k2Rwr1e1Jeg/Uf9wYtzAL9I/AAAAAAAAAkU/1_KxswZ-i1M/s1600/NR.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-k2Rwr1e1Jeg/Uf9wYtzAL9I/AAAAAAAAAkU/1_KxswZ-i1M/s400/NR.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<b><u>Overall</u></b><br />
<br />
After months of using it, I would say that it <b>does help to soothe</b> my affected spot when it gets itchy. Now, most of you would say eczema skin and alcohol won't mix. Some may argue that it will further dry up the skin. In my case, after the gel application, I apply a thick moisturiser on top of it. Surprisingly, this method works for me. Me and hubs can see that the spot is slowly healing beautifully.<br />
<br />
This also works as a spot treatment for me and my blemish spot seemed to heal nicely in days. Yes, it is also nice to use as a quick moisturiser for your body but do get prepared that the <b>results are not mind blowing</b>. It leaves your skin feeling soft and that's about it.<br />
<br />
I would choose the 'real' Aloe Vera sap anytime over this. But for convenience sake, this Nature Republic gel does comes in handy.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Trikeel Face Mask 20 pcs MYR 9.90</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Compressed mask are actually paper sheet mask in a pill form. There are a lot of these in the market and many used this in replacement of cotton pads for their <a href="http://myorganicjourney11.blogspot.com/2011/05/review-diy-mask-with-hada-labo-super.html"><b>Lotion Mask</b></a> regime. I bought this from Sasa, mainly for the hubs because the cotton pad method did not cover his face entirely. At that time, he was badly tanned because of work and to save his face from peeling, I know I need to do the Lotion Mask on him everyday, at least for the entire week. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<b><u>The Experience</u></b><br />
<br />
The compressed masks are small, about the size of our 10 cent coin each, and are individually sealed.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9SRfTTFpM_M/UdusUFcwe2I/AAAAAAAAAjU/VDclaTFnRn8/s1600/IMG_7577a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-9SRfTTFpM_M/UdusUFcwe2I/AAAAAAAAAjU/VDclaTFnRn8/s400/IMG_7577a.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<b><u><span style="color: #0b5394;">Method</span></u></b><br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #0b5394;">After removing the sealed wrapper, just soak the mask with your preferred toner or lotion. In my case, I alternate between the Hada Labo and the new Haruhada Hyaluronic Skin Lotion. Every inch of the mask needs to be saturated with the liquid generously. After a few seconds, you will see it slightly puffed up, soaking in all the liquids. At this stage, you need to add more liquid, making sure that the heart of the mask will be thoroughly wet. Then, very carefully, unfold the mask and place it on your face.</span><br />
<br />
These mask from Sasa are quite good, <b>does not tear easily</b> and <b>able to absorb the liquids evenly</b>. However, the size of the mask is quite small, more fitting for women than men actually. I have yet to try one myself though. As I mentioned earlier, I bought these mainly for the hubs. If I really want to compare in terms of quality, 'My Beauty Diary's' quality is better than these. That's what the hubs told me!<br />
<br />
<b><u>Overall</u></b><br />
<br />
I find these compressed mask very handy indeed and it is a great way to do your Lotion Mask regime, besides using the usual cotton pad method. These mask are convenient to take along in your travels and will not take much luggage space. Another plus point for using compressed mask is, it is <b>economical</b>. They are much cheaper than using facial sheet mask, which can cost you from MYR 8 and above.<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
<br />
I am an advocate for hydration masques and firmly believe it makes a whole lot of difference to your skin condition if you incorporate them in your weekly skincare regime. Hydration, I believe, is the key to flawless skin. Back in 2011, my skin was not at it's best. It has <em>lost the luster</em>, <em>the glow</em> and though I had my regular facials, my skin was still dry and dehydrated. My skin tone was <em>uneven</em>, <em>dull </em>and <em>my pigmentation grew 'darker'</em>.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I decided then, I want a <strong>total change</strong>, both in my skincare products and routine. I started to incorporate in facial oils, serums, facescreen and exploring different types of masques. This change, has brought many surprises to many, even my facial therapist, stating that my skin looked so much better. The hydration is back...the glow too!<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
In these two years, amongst the routines and products, there are two from each group that gave me significant results. One was topical <strong>Vitamin C</strong> and another, diligent <strong>use of masques</strong>. These two has never failed me. For me personally, no amount of expensive serums or oils, can replace these two. That is why in this post, I am sharing with you simple, yet effective types of hydration masques that worked so well for me. Oh, and don't forget to exfoliate your face first before the masques!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<strong><span style="color: #38761d;">1)</span> <span style="color: #38761d;">Leave on and rinse masques.</span></strong><br />
<br />
This is the easiest, hassle free and convenient type of mask available in the market. Early of the year, I was a frequent user of Dermalogica's Skin Hydrating Masque. It works well on me and it is gentle enough to use around my eye area. However ( in December 2012 ), I was told that they change the formula and added 'dimethicone'. Since then, I have moved on to another brand...<br />
<br />
<strong><span style="color: #38761d;">2) Fast and easy masque.</span></strong><br />
<br />
In this category, for me, it will be the <a href="http://myorganicjourney11.blogspot.com/2011/05/review-diy-mask-with-hada-labo-super.html"><b>Lotion Masque</b></a>. I experimented this technique by Chizu Saeki, and use this at least 2 times a week. Just soak some hydrating lotion ( in my case Hada Labo ) on some soaked cotton pads/ paper sheet mask and leave it on for only 3 minutes. Remove the cotton pads/ sheet mask and follow up with your regular oils or serums. This is a fast and quick 'pick me up' on days where I am most lazy. I find this method is a very good way to sooth sunburns and bring instant hydration back on parched or tanned skin.<br />
<br />
<strong><span style="color: #38761d;">3) Natural all rounder masque.</span></strong><br />
<br />
This would be the <a href="http://myorganicjourney11.blogspot.com/2011/10/my-blemish-treatment-part-2-lactic-acid.html"><b>Yoghurt Masque</b></a>. This mask is excellent for hydration, lightening of skin ( in a safe way ) and helps against acne. Yoghurt is also recommended by some doctors for soothing and re-hydrating eczema prone skin. Yoghurt is not only easily available, it is also a good mask base, should you want to add honey or oatmeal. The only downside is, it expires rather quickly and smells.<br />
<br />
<span style="color: #38761d;"><strong>4) Overnight hydration masque.</strong></span><br />
<br />
I have just discovered <a href="http://myorganicjourney11.blogspot.com/2013/06/review-kiehls-ultra-facial-overnight.html"><b>Kiehl's Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Masque</b></a> recently and at this point in time, I think it is safe to say it has taken over the place of Dermalogica's Skin Hydrating Masque. I wasn't in love with it in the beginning stages but with time, it heightens my moisture level of my skin, making my skin very supple. Using this, my pores looked smaller and it does give the glow to my skin, making it looked healthier. Though it says to put it overnight, I find this works well, even if you leave on for an hour or so and rinse off. <br />
<br />
Even though all these masques had given me great, healthier and supple skin, I wouldn't be able to achieve that stage if not for <strong>DILIGENCE</strong> and<strong> PATIENCE</strong>. Diligent in incorporating masques in my daily skincare regime and patience in seeing results. In the beginning stages, I think I was crazily doing masques everyday because my skin was so parched. My routine was:<br />
<br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><strong>Mon</strong>-Leave and rinse mask > <strong>Tues</strong>-Lotion Mask > <strong>Wed</strong>-Yoghurt Mask > <strong>Thurs</strong>-Lotion Mask > <strong>Fri</strong>-Leave and rinse > <strong>Sat</strong>-Yoghurt Mask > <strong>Sun</strong>-Rest.</span><br />
<br />
My current routine:<br />
<br />
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><strong>Mon</strong>-Hydrating Masque > <strong>Tues</strong>-Rest > <strong>Wed-</strong> Lotion Mask > <strong>Thurs</strong>-Rest > <strong>Fri</strong>-Overnight Hydrating Masque > <strong>Sat</strong>-Lotion Mask > <strong>Sun</strong>-Rest</span><br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Phytopanama Daily Balancing Shampoo ( Oily Scalp ) 200ml MYR 88.00</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
A couple of months back, I was told by a hairdresser that my scalp is prone to oiliness and that is one of the main causes of my 'on off ' dandruff affair. This new revelation has taken me aback because all the while, I thought my scalp was normal! Anyway, I was advised to use a shampoo, specifically for oily hair, and use it alternately with my normal shampoo.<br />
<br />
I have decided to go back to Phyto, since their <a href="http://myorganicjourney11.blogspot.com/2012/07/review-phyto-phytoapaisant-soothing.html">Phytoapaisant Soothing Treatment Shampoo</a> did quite good for me.<br />
<br />
<u><b><span style="color: #38761d;">Product Description</span></b></u><br />
<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #38761d;">Rich in quillaja bark extract, PHYTOPANAMA helps regulate excess sebum production. Quillaja bark is rich in saponins and known for its oil absorbing qualities. Recommended to refresh and purify an oily scalp. PHYTOPANAMA is gentle enough for everyday use. Hair is left fuller and softer.</span><br />
<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span>
<b><span style="color: #38761d;">Ingredients</span></b><br />
<span style="color: #38761d; font-size: x-small;">Quillaja saponaria bark extract, water, disodium laureth cocoamphodiacetate, sodium lauryl sarcosinate, disodium ricinoleamido mea-sulfocuccinate, potassium undecylenoyl hydrolyzed soy protein, cocamidopropyl betaine, zanthoxylum alatum fruit extract, xylitol, junipers communis fruit oil, lactitol, polyquaternium-7, glycerin, fragrance, methychloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone citric acid.</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<u><b>My Experience</b></u><br />
<br />
The product is housed in a screw top aluminium bottle, which is great against accidents in the bathroom. The shampoo is <b>very, very runny</b> ( too runny in fact ) and smells lemon-y. Because of the watery consistence, it makes it very difficult to control the amount that you need. I would usually pour two times the amount unto the palm of my hands and quickly pour it unto my hair.<br />
<br />
To make the product work effectively, I noticed that my hair needs to be<b> thoroughly wet</b>. I start from my scalp and work my way to my hair ends. This shampoo makes <b>minimal foam</b> and if your scalp is 'super' oily, you may need to shampoo your hair the second time. ( I had to shampoo my hair twice at the first two uses and subsequently reduce to one time ) You <b>definitely have to follow up with a conditioner </b>with this shampoo as it tends to make your hair feel squeaky clean.<br />
<br />
In the first two weeks, my scalp feels<b> revitalized</b> and<b> light</b>. The amount of oil secretions on my scalp has been reduced a lot after using the shampoo close to 4 months. It is very noticeable, thus making my scalp feels balanced and I itch less. My hubby also experience the same thing and one thing we both agreed on, there was <b>less shedding of hair</b>.<br />
<br />
Though this shampoo is said to be fine for frequent use, I personally like to use it as a 'treatment' shampoo, twice a week, alternating with my regular shampoo because I find that if I use it 4 times a week, it tends to make the scalp too 'dry', resulting to unwanted flakiness. So I find it best to reduce the amount of usage per week and this helps to really balance the condition of the scalp.<br />
<br />
<b><u>Overall</u></b><br />
<br />
This is a great shampoo to use alternately with a normal shampoo as it really helps in controlling excess sebum production. My scalp definitely feels lighter and revitalised. Comparing with the Phytoapaisant, Phytopanama gives the<b> hair a better manageable texture</b> than the former. This does not make my hair dry nor straw-y. Though I like it, some may not because this shampoo has minimal foam and the shampoo is too runny.<br />
<br />
<span style="color: #666666;">The other day, my hubby made a visit to our regular hairdresser and she mentioned that my hubby's hair is much<i> fuller</i> and <i>healthier</i>. ( My hubby's hair is very fine and little ) She mentioned that the possibility may be the switch in hair care products. My hubs agreed with her because when he was using those drugstore bought shampoos, he noticed he sheds more hair and his hair goes limp come mid-day because of his oily scalp.</span><br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Image from livestrong.com</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Lately, I've been reading and hearing a number of stories about allergy reaction to certain ingredients found in some skin care products. Well, unfortunately, a few days ago, I had my share in one of those unfortunate episodes, thanks to a facial salon. My allergy reaction wasn't as bad as <a href="http://bunbunmakeuptips.com/my-horrific-post-facial-experience-you-need-to-read-this/"><b>Juli's</b></a>. Hers was bad and really unfortunate, but I admire her bravery for speaking out and sharing her experience, despite obtaining scars ( both physically and emotionally ) from it.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
A few days ago, I went for my regular facial appointment and during that time, they were having some 50% discount on facial services and I decided to try a new facial programme and asked for a recommendation from my therapist. Well, she did and I went through it. Before I go on, I have been a regular with this facial salon for almost 7 years! Personally, I like to stick to one therapist, which I am comfortable with, as they will be able to <b>know my skin better ( know the improvements and the bad as well )</b>. I have recently changed to a new therapist and have been using her for 4 months. ( Please keep in mind, they have a record which indicates which products of theirs I am allergic to ) Since she is new to me, I have been <b>harping to her</b> that I can't use one of their anti-aging range, which is catered for mature clients and have told her that I have allergic reactions to it. She noted it and so far, she has been very careful not to introduce new products to my skin...until a few days ago. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Next day...</b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I woke up the next day and went about my daily chores. However, I felt that my eyelids were <b>slightly itchy</b>. I had thought that it was normal but by noon, the<b> itchiness increased</b> and when I looked at the mirror, I saw <b>small red spots ( bumps ) around my eye sockets</b> and <b>below my eyes</b>. I called my therapist and asked if she had used new products on my skin and she said no, and she <b>assumed</b> that it must be a gel mask she used yesterday. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
However, I told her that the culprit may not necessarily be that, just because I had reactions on my eyes. Besides, I have no problem with the gel all these years. <b>It was funny she jumped into that conclusion so quickly without checking the list and later confirming with me</b>. The impression I got was that she wants the issue to be closed immediately! </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Anyway, I applied a very thin layer of cortisone cream and see if my allergic reaction worsen tomorrow...</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>2nd day...</b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
And it didn't improve. The bumps were becoming more red and there were also <b>some bumps which formed near my chin area</b>. So my suspicion is confirmed, it is not the eye gel she claimed. It has to be something else. During the facial, I remember I commented on a new scrub she used on me and she told me it was from the anti-aging range. ( At that time, it didn't occur to me that I might have any reaction to it. )</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Last year, I remember having the same reaction when I tried their anti-aging range. One was the mask and another, a resurfacing cleanser. Both of this product contain high contents of AHA and lactic acid. So I decide to do a background check of ingredients on the 'new scrub' she had used on me. True enough, it contained salicylic acid, retinol, lactic acid and several AHA ingredients!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I called the therapist and questioned her on why she used this product on me, while I have told her many, many times, that I am not able to use this range. Her answer to me was not logical.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
" <i><span style="color: #666666;">In this particular facial, it uses this scrub and as a therapist, I am not able to use anything else to replace it because it is the policy</span></i>" she answered.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I then replied " <i><span style="color: #666666;">In the first place, you should have not introduce this facial to me, knowing very well that it uses this anti-aging range. You could have introduce another one which doesn't.</span></i>"</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
She was dumbstruck by what I said and she apologized, knowing her mistake. She affirmed me that it will not happen again and apologized profusely.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><span style="color: blue;">Moral of the story...you understand your skin better than anybody else.</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b>
<b>1.</b> <b>You have to understand your skin well and identify ingredients which your skin can't tolerate to.</b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I know and understand my skin pretty well and has been very careful of introducing new ingredients to my skin as I fall into the category of sensitive skin. I know that I have strong reactions to ingredients such as:</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #666666;"><b>Retinol, AHA ( alpha hydroxy acid ), Coq-10, high content of Salicylic acid ( BHA ) and lactic acid</b>. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I would usually steer clear from any products containing Retinol, AHA or Coq-10, be it serums, cleansers, toners or mask. For lactic and salicylic acid, my skin is slightly acceptable to them if the percentage is low.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>2. What works for others may not work for you.</b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><br /></b>
I am sure that there are several occasions which others would recommend new products to you, just because it works well for them. (<i> I had my share</i> ) But be vary, what works for them may not for you because your face may be of a different category from them.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<strong>3. If you want to test out new products, do a patch test.</strong></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Try to get samples for that particular product and do a patch test with a suitable amount of concentration on your desired area* ( may be neck, lower chin ). Any allergic reactions will appear after 24 or 48 hours max. According to the International Contact Dermatitis Research Group System, reactions are as follows:</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<ul>
<li>doubtful, reaction=mild redness only</li>
<li>weak, positive reaction=red and slightly thickened skin</li>
<li>strong, positive reaction=red, swollen skin with individual small water blisters</li>
<li>extreme, positive reaction=intense redness and swelling with coalesced large blisters or spreading reaction</li>
</ul>
</div>
<br />
( Taken from <a href="http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/health_advice/examinations/patchtesting.htm">source</a> )<br />
<br />
* Some may put on areas which are more prone to sensitivity.<br />
<br />
<strong>4. Areas of allergic reaction may differ.</strong><br />
<br />
In my case, if I have any allergic to new skin care products, tiny bumps will appear around my eye area, eye lids ( where it is the thinnest ), nasolabial fold and chin area. My skin would look ashen, with uneven toning.<br />
<br />
<strong>5.</strong> <strong>Please see a dermatologist if you have any concerned reactions.</strong><br />
<br />
If you show strong positive signs of reactions, please see a dermatologist immediately. Do not delay another day and play doctor yourself! <br />
<br />
Because I have consulted my doctor, my doctor would advice me to use the cortisone cream, if I encountered serious cases. However, I don't like it use this often on my face as it tends to discolour your skin. These days, I personally like to use my <strong><a href="http://myorganicjourney11.blogspot.com/2012/09/my-eczema-treatment-part-3-pure-aloe.html">pure aloe vera sap</a></strong> to treat any skin sensitivity because it worked very well on me. <br />

<b>Kiehl's Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Masque 125ml MYR 130</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
One of the essential part of my skin care routine are masks. If you are a follower of this blog, you may know that most of my masks are hydrating based. I love to incorporate different kinds of mask in a month, alternating with my <a href="http://myorganicjourney11.blogspot.com/2011/10/my-blemish-treatment-part-2-lactic-acid.html">yoghurt mask</a>, <a href="http://myorganicjourney11.blogspot.com/2011/05/review-diy-mask-with-hada-labo-super.html">lotion mask</a> and my normal hydrating mask.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I used to love my <a href="http://myorganicjourney11.blogspot.com/2011/04/review-dermalogica-skin-hydrating.html">Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Mask</a> until recently, I found that they have changed the formula and the new formula contain some ingredients which I don't agree. As I was searching for an alternative, I stumble upon this one from Kiehl's.<br />
<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><b><u><span style="color: #38761d;">Product Description</span></u></b><br />
<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #38761d;">In just one application this ultra-hydrating masque, formulated with Ophiopogon Japonicus, also known as Fountain Plant, fills skin's 'hydration reservoir' to help moisture depletion. Combined with skin protecting Glacial Proteins and moisture-retaining Desert Plants, our formula leaves skin smoother and softer, refreshed and supple. <i>Silicone-Free. Paraben-Free. Fragrance-Free. Colorant-Free</i>.</span><br />
<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span>
<b><span style="color: #38761d;">Ingredients</span></b><br />
<span style="color: #38761d; font-size: x-small;">Aqua, Glycerin, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Propylene Glycol, Squalane, Triethanolamine, Carbomer, Hydroxyethylpiperazine Ethane Sulfonic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Imperata Cylindrica Root Extract, Ophinopogon Japonicus Root Extract, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Chlorphrnrsin, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Pseudoalteromonas Ferment Extract, Disodium EDTA, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer Fmla.</span><br />
<br />
<b><u>My Experience</u></b><br />
<br />
The mask itself is of a 'gel-like' consistency and opaque in colour. It has a undescribable faint scent to it, which to me, smells kind of acid-y. Not sure if it makes any sense.<br />
<br />
At my first application of this product ( right after mild exfoliation ), I applied a thin layer all over my face, avoiding my eye area. Within seconds, I<i> felt a burning sensation,</i> which was pre-warned by the SA. I was quite scared that it might provoke my eczema or might be too strong for my sensitive skin. I was about to rinse it off, but surprisingly, the burning sensation stopped and I decide to leave it on for 10 minutes, after which, I would tissue off the excess. Your face will definitely feel tacky at this point but it is fine to leave it overnight. ( To avoid staining your pillow case, just lay a tea towel over it ).<br />
<br />
The following morning, I was surprised to find my skin <b>does feel supple</b> and <b>refreshed</b> after rinsing off the remnants. It feels slightly <b>plumped up</b> and the <b>hydration is very much noticeable</b>, as there is a slight glow on my face. That being said however, the glow may differ for each individual. I used this for my hubby on his very parched skin and his skin just soaks it all in. Though there's no glow in my hubby's case, the hydration level is much noticeable.<br />
<br />
Honestly, I wasn't so enthusiastic about this product the first few weeks because I personally feels that it is just ordinary. Aside from making your skin supple, I noticed most people raved about their skin looking brighter after using this product. I am afraid I didn't get the 'brighter' results and I rely on my trusted topical Vitamin C for it.<br />
<br />
As I <b>was about to sign off this product</b> as ordinary during the first month, I hold on to that thought because by the second and third month, I noticed that my skin feels and looked much healthier. The <b>hydration level was up</b>, despite being sick for a couple of days. I have a very nice '<i>tiong tiong</i>' effect on my skin, which indicates that my skin is nicely supple.<br />
<br />
<b><u>Overall</u></b><br />
<br />
Given time and patience, you will definitely see results with this product. On me, I saw that <b>my hydration level is up and it has maintained the condition</b>, even when I was sick. On my hubby, it <b>replenishes his parched skin almost immediately, making his pores looking slightly smaller</b>.<br />
<br />
If you don't like the idea of sleeping with your mask on, it is fine to rinse it off after an hour or so. Personally, I prefer this method. For those with <i>sensitive skin, I highly recommend that you get a sample first </i>before purchasing the whole tub. As said earlier, some may not be able to take the burning sensation right after application.<br />
<br />
Personally, this mask grows on me and it does makes my skin looking healthier. I also love the hydration it gives to my skin and I believe this mask does helps to maintain my skin, making it supple. This product has now become one of my staple!<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Waterproof Pen Liner in Kill Black MYR 55.90</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
As I have mentioned before, one of my essentials for makeup is my eyeliner. I pretty much stuck with my Lancome Artliner for many many years and never thought of abandoning the ship until I found these. I initially started with the Gelpresso Gel Liner in Chic Navy and the Pen Liner in Kill Black. The Chic Navy had me with one swipe, followed by the Kill Black. And then...they were having some sales at Watson's with 15%-30% Discounts and I knew I had to get more of these!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Gelpresso Waterproof Eyeliner Gel Liner</b> </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Personally, I much prefer liquid eyeliners with felt tip than pencils. I had many bad experiences with the pencils as most it kinda drags your eyelids when you try to draw a good line and most smudges easily, giving you the dreaded panda eyes.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
However, with this gel liner, it <b>glides on so effortlessly</b> and the <b>pigmentation is good</b>! I love, love the Chic Navy as it is a good alternative to the boring black and somehow, it makes my eyes more noticeable. The staying power is very good as well, last at least 3 hours on my oily lids with very, very minimal smudge. However, on days where I would apply them at the lower rims of my eyes, it can only last 2 hours at most. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
For the Beige Shine, I only use it at my inner corner of my eyes or at my lower rims to lighten or highlight. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have tried to shoot a few samples on how it looked like on my eyes but I failed miserably. So, I am giving you some pictures from website instead.</div>

One thing I like about this eyeliner is that it comes <b>with a built in sharpener</b>, located at the end of the pencil itself.</div>

<b>Waterproof Turnliner Twistturn</b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I bought this when they were having some discounts and the<b> mechanism of it is pretty cool</b>. All you need is just twist the bottom part of the pen liner and it will automatically dispense the right amount you need at the felt tip.I like it because it minimises wastage. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GKmqIIOPP-U/UZBs1093iYI/AAAAAAAAAhg/LvxKxqb6UHY/s1600/Clio2.bmp" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="304" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GKmqIIOPP-U/UZBs1093iYI/AAAAAAAAAhg/LvxKxqb6UHY/s320/Clio2.bmp" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Image from atelierbeauty.com</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I bought Urban Khaki and I definitely don't regret it. It is a very nice colour and a good alternative to brown. I usually wear this alone, on my subtle makeup days and it pays off well. The pigmentation is good and this one last me almost the whole day. No kidding. I did detect some minimal smudges but considered reasonable, especially on my oily lids. Now, I am eyeing on Stage Navy if it's on sale again!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Waterproof Pen Liner</b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Now, this is the one that kicks off the whole series for Clio. This is a classic one and it is the '<b>blackest black</b>' liner I have encountered. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-aliEcH0ayJU/UZBvbJW2_ZI/AAAAAAAAAhw/rPbsWKgylhc/s1600/Clio3.bmp" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-aliEcH0ayJU/UZBvbJW2_ZI/AAAAAAAAAhw/rPbsWKgylhc/s1600/Clio3.bmp" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I love the felt tip and I actually prefer this to Lancome's. It glides easily, making it effortless to draw a nice winged line. Because it is so black, it <b>defines your eyes so beautifully</b>. I can bet that many will comment how pretty your eyes will look by just wearing this.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
On oily lids, this lasts remarkable well, reaching 5 hours perhaps ( provided that you are not under the scorching sun ) with minimal smudges. There's only one thing which I have to comment about this, is that you'll need to wait ( at least 10 seconds ) for it to dry well before opening your eyes, otherwise, there will be some smudges above your lids. For the 'drying time' efficiency, Lancome is much better.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Antipodes Kiwi Seed Oil Eye Cream 30ml MYR 178</b><br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br />
After actively using eye creams or serums since 2 years ago, it dawned to me that it is something that one should not neglect. It is<b> essentially as important as your serums or creams for face</b>. Many close friends or family I know, still have not started using eye cream or eye serums because they feel that it is not something important to concentrate on. If you are aware, most people will comment " <i>You looked tired. Is everything</i> <i>ok</i>?" or " <i>You didn't sleep last night ar</i>?" just by looking at your eyes area. They wouldn't look at the condition of your skin and ask those questions, would they?<br />
<br />
Most also claim that eye serums or creams are sometimes more expensive than for the face itself. Honestly, I have to <b>agree with them on many 'ridiculously priced' eye creams</b> available in the market. With that comment, it brings me to this item, which I am going to review. Well, you've certainly seen a few reviews I've done under the Antipodes brand and finally, this will be the last lot of product. I bought this ( <i>on a discounted price of course</i> ) when I ran out of my DeVita Eye Cream. I was very, very reluctant to purchase this initially because if the price tag but buckled when given a fair amount of discount.<br />
<br />

<b><u><span style="color: #38761d;">Product Description</span></u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;">A luscious yet light eye cream providing a cooling, soothing treatment for the delicate eye area. Rich in Vitamin C from the New Zealand kiwi fruit to help moisturize and soften fine lines. Fragrance-free and suited to most skin conditions.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<u><b><span style="color: #38761d;">Ingredients</span></b></u></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;">Water, avocado oil, glycerin, cetearyl alcohol( coconut derived ), cetearyl wheat straw glycosides, steraic acid, glyceryl stearate, vitamin E, carrot oil, kiwi seed oil, borage oil, gluconolactone, sodium benzoate, calcium gluconate, vinanza grape seed extract.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><u>My Experience</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The eye cream is rather rich, semi-thick in consistency, with a faint beige tone to it. Because the product comes in a small jar, I usually use clean Q-tips to get a small amount out to avoid contamination.<br />
<br />
For both the eyes, I use a tiny bit ( a size of a grape seed ). Though it seems little, it is sufficient because the cream is thick. Moreover, I wouldn't want to risk having milia seeds if the amount is more. I have been consistently using this every night since last November, ( which is 7 months ), and yes, it has kept my eye area <b>hydrated</b> and <b>moisturised</b>. So far no milia seeds sighted. The same goes to <b>no softening of fine lines </b>nor <b>cooling treatment</b> ( as claimed ).<br />
<br />
<b><u>Overall</u></b><br />
<br />
Simple and easy review for this product since it is only, <b>at best</b>, kept my eyes area hydrated and moisturised as said earlier. Am I disappointed ? Well, at least amongst the claims, I can only agree with one...<br />

<b>Neogence Clarifying & Hydrating Make-Up Removing Liquid 200ml MYR 26-24 (Discounted )</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><br /></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Of late, I have been putting on make-up and honestly, I enjoy it! I am not those who wears heavy make-up with absolute heavy coverage, but with my essentials like concealer, pressed powder, eyeshadow, blusher and my absolute must: liquid eyeliner. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Because of my oily lids, I need a heavy duty liner, to last at least for 5 hours. I have found one ( review coming up ) and you know how it is, heavy duty ones requires a good make-up remover to remove it. I used to like Lancome's Bi-Facil makeup remover, which I thought is the only best eye makeup remover in the world! However, I was not keen on the price, hence begin a look out for other alternatives...and I stumbled unto this at Sasa.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

<span style="color: #38761d;">Aqua, dipropylene glycol, tocopherol, glycerin, peg-20 glyceryl isostearate, butylene glycol, decyl glucoside, peg-20 glceryl trisostearate, glycosyl trehalose, hydrogenated starch hydrolysate, arginine, acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, disodium etda, methylparaben, fragrance, dipotassium glycyrrhizate, methylisothiazolinone, idopropynyl butycarbamate, sodium hyaluronate, mannitol, sodium citrate, acetyl tetrapeptide-15</span></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #38761d;">*I would like to note that <i>this is not an organic product</i>. Most of the ingredients are at the levels of 'low-moderate hazard' when crossed checked with EWG Skin Deep. So in other words, it is not hazardous to use.</span><br />
<b><u><br /></u></b>
<b><u>My Experience</u></b></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I initially tried this product when I bought a small 30ml bottle of this. After a few uses, I upgrade it to the full size. The product itself is liquid-y, and because it contains a lot of glycerin, you more or less would know the texture of it: slippery. Ironically, I detect no fragrance at all, even though it is stated in the ingredients listing. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I usually remove my eye make-up, following <a href="http://myorganicjourney11.blogspot.com/2012/03/removing-eye-makeup-proper-way.html">Lisa Eldridge's way</a>. All you need is just a size of 10 cent unto your cotton pad, gently press the cotton pad unto your closed eyes and leave it there for a couple of seconds. ( <i>You may repeat the 2nd time again, with lesser amount of the liquid, if you find that there are still some remnants</i> ). I find <b>this way most effective</b>, as it minimises tugging or rubbing at your eye area.<br />
<br />
If I were to compare the Neogence with Lancome Bi-Facil, I would say that the effectiveness of removing stubborn make-up <b>is of the same level</b>. If you ask me for my preference between the two, I would say I like the Neogence one better. Why? I like that the formula is of <b>oil & alcohol free</b>. When I was using Bi-Facil, one thing I dislike most was the oily residue it leaves behind. Both your eyes will have that uncomfortable oily feeling, which makes it difficult to open. I am not sure if it's the oil or the other ingredients found in Bi-Facil but, this is how I felt. Unlike Bi-Facil's, I <b>do not feel any irritations</b> or any uncomfortable feeling when using Neogence.<br />
<br />
Secondly, I love the price of Neogence. It is far more <b>economical</b> than Lancome's. Those on a tight budget or frequent eye remover users will appreciate this one.<br />
<br />
<u><b>Overall</b></u><br />
<br />
This is definitely a 'yay' for me. It's effectiveness and price point won it for me. I have sensitive eyes and skin and this is friendly to those who have these. Economical wise, I am almost reaching half the bottle since I started using middle of last year. So, that says a great deal.<br />

<b>Antipodes Divine Face Oil 30ml MYR 128.00</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Most of those who follow my journey, knows that I love oils and much prefer it than lotions and creams. Ever since I switched to using face oil, my skin has improved significantly in terms of<i> hydration </i>and <i>texture</i>.Though my Marie Veronique Anti-Aging Oil+ has proven as good keeper for me, I am open to other face oil available in the market and the price factor is usually one of my concerns before purchasing.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
When I chanced upon Antipodes Divine Face Oil, which I have heard a lot about, I was pleasantly surprised that the price was at a reasonable level and the ingredients looked good as well. I have been using this for more than 3 months now and it is about time for me to do a review on this.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #38761d;">Ingredients: Avocado oil, macadamia nut oil, jojoba oil, rosehip oil, Vitamin E, essential oil fragrances of ylang ylang, sandalwood and jasmine, benzyl benzoate, benzyl, salicylate, citronellol,d-limonene, farnesol, geraniol, isoeugenol, linalool.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b><u>My Experience</u></b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The oil is light yellow in colour and lightly scented. If I were to make a comparison in terms of colour and texture with my MVO Anti-Aging Oil+, I would say that MVO has a much deeper colour and feels slightly thicker than Antipodes. I have used it for both day and night for 2 weeks and found that this oil alone <b>is not hydrating enough for me at night</b> but is fine for day use. Though this oil works well in replenishing back the oil to my skin after cleansing, this <b>does not really work on age spots </b>or<b> scars</b>, even though with a month plus usage.<br />
<br />
I also found that this oil does not give me the glow or healthy appearance which I experienced with MVO. This oil somewhat makes <b>my skin a little dull</b>. I am not sure it is just me but I don't feel the wow factor affect with this particular oil at all.<br />
<br />
<b><u>Overall</u></b><br />
<br />
I was hoping that this oil would be able to replace my MVO but sadly, it does not. The only good thing I have to say about this oil is that it works as an ordinary replenisher for my skin for day time use because the texture is much lighter, thus not making my skin feel oily.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Image from habitusliving.com</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Before I started embarking in my journey about my feet issue, I didn't really realised that I have been buying shoes for all the wrong reasons.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
The wrong reasons:</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<ul>
<li><i>It's trendy and currently fashionable. Everyone is wearing them..so must I.</i></li>
<li><i>It's on sale and cheap.</i></li>
<li><i>It looked sexy and good when I wear them.</i></li>
<li><i>It matched the colour of my outfit.</i></li>
<li><i>Buying an ill appropriate size because it is REALLY nice and it is the last one left.</i></li>
</ul>
<div>
I guess may of us have fallen into the usual habit, <b>without considering the fitting</b> or <b>comfort of the shoe</b>. I know I have even bought some shoes and left them untouched for more than a year, all because it was on sale. It is the biggest culprit among the other wrong reasons, where we may have bought something which we didn't really need in the first place. <b>Style is often the key to consideration, but it cannot be the only factor</b>.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Coupled with the wrong reasons, I didn't have much idea or knowledge on choosing the fight fit in the right way. I am only armed with the basic since adolescent, which is <i>ensuring that there are at least 1/2 inch space</i> at the toe space and that <i>it is not tight when worn</i>. Little that I realised, I am doing more damage than good to my feet in the long run.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<div>
Good thing is that bad things don't last forever and fresh perspective and change is always welcomed. Here are some tips that I found useful to keep in mind when I am on a shoe hunt.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
1. <b><i>Fitting and shop later in the day.</i></b></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Feet tend to swell ( up to 8% ) at the end of the day, so it is best to fit or purchase shoes during this time to avoid getting shoes that are too tight.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
2. <i><b>Measure your feet.</b></i></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Feet can grow as we aged, so have your feet measured every year. <u><i>Make sure you stand</i></u> while having your feet measured because the full weight of your <i><u>body will expand your feet</u></i>.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
3. <i><b>Do not buy shoes based on the size.</b></i></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Size may vary from brand to brand and style. It is important to try on the shoes, and then purchase the one that fits the best, regardless the size.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
4. <b><i>Suitable toe box.</i></b></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
A square or round toe box will provide more room and comfort by allowing the toes to lay flat. A pointed shoe shape may crowd the toes, causing discomfort. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Tf5yX1YFo88/UU1QODBuBkI/AAAAAAAAAeM/IgWWI68CZJA/s1600/Point.bmp" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Tf5yX1YFo88/UU1QODBuBkI/AAAAAAAAAeM/IgWWI68CZJA/s1600/Point.bmp" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div>
Purchase a shoe that conforms to the shape of your foot.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
5. <b><i>Leave 1/2 inch at the front of the shoe.</i></b></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
There should be a good 1/2 inch between the end of your longest toe and the end of the shoe front. Your <u><i>longest toe may not be your big toe</i></u>. If you are wearing a shoe that is too long for your foot, you may develop toe pain and blisters as your feet continuously slides forward toward the front of the shoe.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Image from orthoinfo.aaos.org</span></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
6. <b><i>Walk around in the shoes...</i></b></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
On different surfaces if available to make sure they are comfortable and feel right. Do not buy shoes with <u><i>hopes that some day they will be comfortable to wear</i></u>.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
7. <b><i>One foot might be slightly larger than another..</i></b></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Consider the one that fits the larger foot. Different padding or inserts may be considered to take up the room to avoid slippage. <u><i>It is best to walk in the shoes with the padding and inserts to really make sure it is at your comfort level before purchasing</i></u>.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: x-small;">Image from cqfootclinic.com.au</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
In this post, I am going to write about another foot condition that I have, which is the issue of<i> bunions</i> or Hallux Valgus. Unfortunately, I've developed them over the years of <b>wearing ill-fitting</b> and <b>tight shoes</b>, and in my case, high heels. Another possibility could be <b>heredity</b>.<br />
<br />
As I grew older, walking has became a painful task for me due to the bunions. Because most of my existing shoes are mostly covered ballerina flats with insufficient toe space, the pressure on my bunions and bunionette become<b> more significant</b>, making it<b> red </b>and <b>sore</b>. Sometimes, I resort to band aids to cover my bunions to ease the pain. That helped only for the 1st hour and it needed to be changed again.<br />
<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<b>Bunion</b><br />
<br />
Bunion is an enlargement on the side of the foot near the base of the big toe, where often the big toe deviates towards the other toes. Possible causes of bunions are:<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Heredity, runs in the family</li>
<li>Poor foot structure</li>
<li>Wearing tight fitting shoes, especially high heeled and narrow pointed shoes. Such shoes gradually push the foot bones into an unnatural shape.</li>
</ul>
<div>
Because a bunion occurs at a joint, where the toe bends in normal walking, your entire body weight rest on the bunion with each step. This causes to be extremely painful. Bunions are also <b>vulnerable to excess pressure</b> and <b>friction from the shoes</b>, which may lead to be red and tenderness, thus causing the <b>development of calluses</b>.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>Relief from Bunions</b></div>
<div>
<ul>
<li><i>Choose shoes that conform to the shape of your feet. Never force your foot into a shoe that doesn't fit.</i></li>
<li><i>Go for shoes with wide insteps, broad toes and soft soles. Avoid shoes that are short, tight or sharply pointed, or heels that are higher than 2 1/4 inches.</i></li>
<li><i>Protective pads to cushion the painful areas</i>.</li>
</ul>
</div>
<div>
<b>What I Did</b><br />
<br />
Current picture of my feet, circled in detail to show my bunion.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NogxLAcGbV0/UU0uLWOxAJI/AAAAAAAAAdU/HUi3htxghXU/s1600/Bunion.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NogxLAcGbV0/UU0uLWOxAJI/AAAAAAAAAdU/HUi3htxghXU/s400/Bunion.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Because changing my entire shoe collection is not the most economical, I decided to look into protectors instead for my bunions. I managed to find one at a orthopedic retail store, called Dr. Kong. A pleasant lady that was on duty that day, was most helpful and knowledgeable, showed me how to wear and care for them.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The bunion protectors looked like these:<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dQmIjZ4Jh-4/UU0yMRgyHNI/AAAAAAAAAdc/_v5gZViXQ3k/s1600/IMG_7557a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dQmIjZ4Jh-4/UU0yMRgyHNI/AAAAAAAAAdc/_v5gZViXQ3k/s400/IMG_7557a.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Bunion Protector </div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mmlS3LKJa_I/UU0yiNJGClI/AAAAAAAAAdk/ijZE_9ji7Ug/s1600/IMG_7558a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mmlS3LKJa_I/UU0yiNJGClI/AAAAAAAAAdk/ijZE_9ji7Ug/s400/IMG_7558a.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Bunionette Protector</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
This is how it will look like when worn:</div>
</div>
<div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7UTFfq595Dw/UU0zEoUF9zI/AAAAAAAAAds/Afwt1za7Y8U/s1600/Protectors.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7UTFfq595Dw/UU0zEoUF9zI/AAAAAAAAAds/Afwt1za7Y8U/s400/Protectors.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The protectors are very flexible and soft. I wear them mostly with my covered flats and this definitely<b> reduces the friction between the shoe and the bunion</b>. It makes walking so much easier than before. I was surprised to find that the protectors were firmly in position, despite hours of walking. However, depending on the design and cut of the shoe at the front, it may not be able to cover the protectors entirely, as some of them may peek out, looking a bit un-sightly. For me, this is not an issue for me because comfort is more important.</div>
<div>
<br />
Care for these protectors are minimal. Just ensure that they are washed with gentle cleanser after every use, pat or leave them to dry, before scattering with some talc.<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
I never really pay attention to my feet problems or even more so, learn about feet problems. What prompted me to really look into it was when one of my nieces have a foot condition called <i>over-pronation</i> or '<i>flat feet</i>'. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Off I went for a feet analysis one day, during which I was told that I have mid <b style="text-decoration: underline;">high arch </b><b>( </b>which is not so much of an issue ) and both my feet have <b><u>bunions ( Hallux Valgus )</u></b> problem. I did told them that my <b>knees</b> and <b>heels hurts quite a bit</b>, after walking or even standing for a period of time. But my main problem I want to address are my <b>bunions</b>. I love flats or heels, and most of the time, both my bunions will be <b>sore</b> and <b>red</b>, even when worn for just an hour. I am not sure if many felt the same as I do but....when my feet hurts, I get agitated easily.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Let's look into the explanation of my feet analysis in detail shall we.</div>

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
A high-arched foot lacks the needed flexibility for <b>absorbing shock</b> and tends to <b>roll outward or supinate</b> ( see figure above ), which can increase the risk of ankle sprains. High arch feet can be associated with foot health issues such as:</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
</div>
<ul>
<li>Pain in the ball of the foot</li>
<li>Ankle sprains</li>
<li>Pain in the rear foot</li>
<li>Calluses under the ball of the foot and outer part of the sole</li>
<li>Heel pain</li>
</ul>
<div>
According to source ( <a href="http://foothealth.about.com/od/footanatomy/a/High-Arched-Feet.htm">here</a> ), because high-arch feet don't absorb shock well, <b>hard-soled shoes</b> or <b>shoes with thin soles may cause foot and leg pain</b>, especially at the <b>knee</b>. Another issue is nerve or tendon irritation across the top of the foot from tight shoes. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Now, that clearly explains why my knees and heels hurt most of the time. Another reason for the pain was that my weight is transferred most to the<u> heels</u> and <u>balls of the feet</u> when I am walking or standing because of my high arch. The pressure could not be distributed to other areas properly, thus the concentration is at both the areas. When I am wearing high heels, the pain is more acute.</div>
<div>
<b><br /></b>
<b>Solution</b></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<i>Adding a pad under the tongue of the shoe or buying shoes with thick but flexible sole with arch support.</i></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b>What I did</b></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Shoe-hunting, of course! I went to many, many shoe orthotics shops, hoping to find a good and comfortable walking shoe. To my surprise, these type of shoes cost from MYR 250 and above! Yeah....it is very pricey, even more so for those custom-made ones.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
After weeks of searching, I manage to get 2 shoes, one with arch support and another with good, thick and flexible sole at Dr.Kong, where they were having a 'buy 1 free one promotion' and boy, it was really a good deal!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
After 2 months of wearing those shoes, I can really say...<i>it is all worth it</i><b>.</b> My beloved heels and flats are cast aside as I reach out more to my orthopedic shoes. Surprisingly, I can walk for longer hours, <b>without feeling the pain</b> <b>at my heels or the balls of my feet</b>. My feet and leg does not feel easily tired as before and funnily, my back usually hurts when wearing ordinary shoes but with this, no pain at all. For those of you who have worn orthopedic shoes before, you will know what I am talking about. Once you are a 'convert', I don't think anyone would like to go back to wearing the normal shoes anymore. It is like exchanging comfort for pain.<br />
<br />
Personally, I find that trendy orthopedic shoes are hard to find in Malaysia. Most of the styles here are quite outdated looking and may put us off at one glance. I know that they have to consider the comfort level and suitability before penning the design but, a little more eye candy won't hurt though.<br />

<b>Antipodes Hallelujah Lime & Patchouli Cleanser 200ml MYR 128</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
When my current night time <a href="http://myorganicjourney11.blogspot.com/2012/06/review-paul-penders-products.html">cleansing milk from Paul Penders</a> was at the last leg, I had thought of replenishing. Though my face love it, I held my brakes because of the price! It is priced at <b>AUSD 36</b> ( MYR 117, excluding shipment ) for a mere 120ml. It is expensive for me in the long run and decided to shop for a new one, which leads me to the above.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Quite a mouthful name for a cleanser, eh? What drew me to this cleanser was..... <b>definitely not the price</b>! But it is much cheaper than Paul Pender's. Besides, they were having some promotion and bought it at a cheaper price. So, how was it?<br />
<br />

<br />
<u><b><span style="color: #38761d;">Product Description</span></b></u><br />
<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #38761d;"><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Calibri, Verdana, Ariel, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; line-height: 18px;">A pure base of avocado oil gently removes impurities while carrot seed oil promotes skin that glows with good health. Highest quality essential oils of lime and patchouli work wonderfully to deeply cleanse, freshen and uplift. </span></span><br />
<span style="color: #38761d;"><br /></span>
<b><u><span style="color: #38761d;">Ingredients</span></u></b><br />
<span style="color: #38761d;">aqua, glycerin, avocado oil, macadamia oil, jojoba oil, wheat straw glycosides, cetearyl alcohol, carrot oil, polysorbate 20, kawakawa leaf, mandarin oil, lime oil, patchouli oil, vitamin e, phenoxyethanol, iodopropynyl butylcarbarmate, grapefruit seed extract.</span><br />
<br />
<b><u>My Experience</u></b><br />
<br />
The texture of the cleanser is <b>creamy</b>, but <b>not overly heavy or greasy</b>. Best yet, it doesn't leave any oily residue when rinsed. I would say the texture and feel is almost strikingly similar to the <a href="http://myorganicjourney11.blogspot.com/2011/09/review-trilogy-cream-cleanser.html">Trilogy Cream Cleanser</a>. Even the packaging is housed in the same brown apothecary glass bottle.<br />
<br />
For me, one thing that stands out in this product is the <b>scent</b>. My nose detect the patchouli scent the most. I know some may not like the woody scent of patchouli, but I, for one,<b> love it</b>! I have wished that the scent would last longer after rinsing, but in this case, it dissipate rather quickly. Probably because of the 2nd cleanser, which I would normally follow after using this one.<br />
<br />
<b><u>Overall</u></b><br />
<br />
I do like this cleanser..though it is <b>not totally LOVE</b> for me. Yes, it does cleanses well, without leaving my skin dry or taut. Yes, it smells delicious and it contains quite a number of good oils and ingredients.... but for me, something is missing. I just don't feel the oomph factor here...besides acting as a day to day normal cleanser for me. Would I repurchase? I am not too sure...unless they are having some sales or promotion.<br />
